camila do rosario

IN LOVE with Brazilian artist Camila do Rosario’s Moleskine set. It’s a super-awesome-beautiful reminder to pick up my own neglected sketchbook. They are an artist’s best friend and I’ve definitely been avoiding a good long conversation on paper. My sketchbook knows all of my secrets and fears and loves me anyway.

Royal Corgi Tea Towel by Gemma Correll

Gemma Correll Corgi tea towel

It’s a mere 11 days away from the royal wedding of William and Kate, and I’ve seen a lot of stuff that’s out there in the market to commemorate the occasion (plates and cups, anyone?) so much so that everything looks almost similar, with the usual style of both the royal couple’s faces plastered on everything and ANYTHING that you can put a finger on. I’m all for portraits, but this is really getting way out of hand!

Enter this fun little corgi tea towel from To Dry For by the inimitable Gemma Correll that has:
1. No pictures of the lovely couple (hmmm..)
2. An illustration of a corgi instead. (yay!)

I’d say this is a shoo in for those who want something fun to remember the occasion by – especially when that 155th cup starts to look awfully familiar to plate #43.

Japan earthquake & tsunami fundraiser: update!

Mogu Takahashi fundraiser

Thank you so much to everybody who got the Chotto Omoshiroi poster in aid of our Japan Tsunami & Earthquake fundraiser! We’ve raised a total of USD$1,050 which will be donated to the Japan Red Cross Society via our local chapter of the Red Crescent Society. The poster alone is now sold out, but it is still bundled together with the Chotto Omoshiroi zine that is available for purchase in the shop.

If you are still craving for a little Mogu Takahashi action and still want to help Japan – you’re in luck! Mogu has made these lovely t-shirts to sell in her shop, with proceeds that will go towards aid for Japan in this time of need.

Gambatte Mogu-chan!
