Aren’t these sculptures by Jessica Fortner amazing? They’re really interesting in a folksy kind of way (and sometimes in a morbid sort of way) that I can’t help but break into a subtle chuckle when I see them. She creates these 3D figurines and scenes using a variety of materials and then photographs them to create the final illustration.
Good news if you’re in Toronto, Canada as her dolls will be at C1 Art Space’s All Dolled Up show happening from May 1st- June 28th. You can also buy prints of her work over here and here’s her blog.
I just stumbled on Christine Berrie’s prints on 20×200 and they’re gorgeous! The prints are created using archival pigment inks on 100% cotton rag paper with a matte finish.
