#1: Making your mark

Making art is a journey in self discovery. It begins with an inherent need for self-expression. Each of us has a unique voice all our own. You may have been doodling one-eyed cats or building ambitious forts since you were a child or maybe only recently discovered your love of making 5 tiered cakes or photographing civil war era battles re-enacted by your pet rabbits, the important thing is that you have a passion and desire to express your own personal and unique experiences through art.

Ever been in a situation or seen things that you had to control yourself not to blurt out loud? Well then the drawings of Berlin-based Katrin Hagen of Mischief Champion will definitely ring a few bells! With new drawings unveiled every Monday and Thursday, you’ll be able to start and end your week on a funny (and oftentimes, insane) note.

Sergio Membrillas (previously featured here) has some new work up which I think you’ll like, and the two images above is a little juxtaposition of his newer work. (Can you tell how pleased I am about this little fluke?)
