Mr. Bowlegs

Look at these absolutely delicious organic lines over at Jeffrey Bowman’s site! I love Mike Perry’s work, and I’m so happy to see that there are others whose work is a lovely mishmash of these sort of styles (I’m not quite sure what to call them exactly!)

Mr Bowlegs here also has a shop here and is involved in a project with another buddy of his, Andrew J Miller over at The Wizards Hat. Their first zine features the theme of “Magic”, with a few familiar names like Mike Perry, Damien Correll, Jon Burgerman, Gemma Correll, Alex Bec, Hollay Wales, Matthew Barnes, Matthew Dent, Andrew Ainger, and Joel Evey!

Marge love

Loving these beautiful embroidered dolls made by Sammi who sells by the name of mummysam in Etsy. Her dolls are made with 100% pure wool felt and pure lambswool stuffing, and I’m having this huge crush on this plush-person called Marge.

Whisper

I’m a HUGE fan of Heather Smith Jones. Ever since I had one of her original paintings (see mine here) I’ve been checking her Etsy shop almost everyday to see if she has a new collection. Last week, she unveiled her latest series of paintings and works — the {whisper} series, a collection of beautiful works with graphite, watercolor, pinholes, and letterpress blind embossing on paper. The series is part of the “finding winter, drawing spring” collection, and all of them are original one-offs that are signed, dated and titled by Heather.

Each of her work has a wonderful, happy vibe to it; and I especially love her use of white space and the composition of each piece. You can also find more about Heather and her studio on her blog.

Happy Monday everyone! 🙂
