Ryan Price

I was looking all over the internet for Ryan Price’s work after I saw the cover of the book The Raven at a bookshop in town. Turns out that apart from some of his illustrations being sold at a collective Etsy shop called Bombsters Art, there isn’t really much info to go on, apart from the fact that he now runs a gallery, printmaking and framing studio in Guelph, Ontario, Canada called Catch-23.

I wish there was a gallery online that showcases some of his work more — particularly from the book as I’ve read some rave reviews about his illustrations.

Rebecca of 10Answers sent me a link to an interview that they did with illustrator Micah Libberg and I am in love. A lot of his work is based on nature and I really like how he makes me look at things that I might take for granted (since I live in a tropical country) in a whole new way.

Read his interview over at 10Answers!

And here’s a little shout out for book and zine lovers: sometime this week I’ll be launching the giveaway for the Zine PikaPackage — do keep an eye out for it! 🙂

Oliver Lake

Oliver Lake is a UK based artist who has illustrated professionally for various clients and has also produced a few children’s books. What I love is how he renders his fun-loving animals, and I also am amused by the fact that some of them have eyes that seem to be staring at headlights! Who knew that strapping an accordion onto a bear would make so much sense?

You can shop for prints over in his Etsy shop and see his work in detail over on his portfolio website.
