I love posters – silk screened or not – because I love the idea of temporary art. And because I’m still experimenting with the layout for our home (yes, after 2 years, we’re still at it!) that means no nails on the wall for now. So until I can find a way to display my small print collection, I’ve mostly been putting up posters for now.

And I’m saving up to buy a couple of posters done by James Heimer – an artist based in Philadelphia, USA who has made lots of flyers and posters for bands. His linework is gorgeous – free, loose and bold – just the way I like it.

Beautiful, delicate illustrations done by Gabriella Barouch for her final project at Bezalel Academy Of Art And Design. The ones above are a selection of illustrations that accompany a compendium of limericks by Edward Lear in the Book of Nonsense. You can see the entire book over at her portfolio website.

I found pretty prints and delightful animals over at Lisa Jones’ Studio. The products in the shop come from the collaborative effort of husband and wife team, Lisa and Edward, both of whom are based in London. Their designs and illustrations veer towards 1950’s retro style while maintaining a modern edge, and can be found on stationery, cards, textiles, screen prints and more.
