Paper Bicycle Creative is run by three surface product designers — Lindsay Nohl, Francesca Buchko and Chris Hajny based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. During the day, they design everything; from apparel to stationery, to home and gift products, and at night they work on the Daily Pattern project out of their love for patterns and art.

They’re always looking for people to collaborate with (with monthly prizes to boot!) so head over to their blog to read up on how you can get involved!

Pool Pony

Pool Pony

I discovered the mid-century inspired art of Pool Pony while perusing the tables over at Poppytalk Handmade’s latest Mix Tape market. Their pieces have lovely colors, textures and form but the people behind Pool Pony didn’t put up much information about themselves, which is a shame really. I’d really love to hear more about the personality behind the art, and to see what inspired them to create them.

Ira Glass on Storytelling

Instead of the usual typography-inspiration post this Monday, I thought I’d leave you with something even better – inspiration delivered via typography AND video.

This was part of the series by Ira Glass on Storytelling (which can be seen on YouTube). This one here is just a snippet of the talk and can be applied to any design discipline, even illustration, and is done by David Liu.

Push past the pain, hone that killer taste and keep on working!

Happy Monday folks!
