Hi everyone!
Welcome to the new home of Pikaland! We’re still tying up some loose ends here and there while we get the website ready – fluffing up the cushions and making some last minute adjustments before we make it official, so take a look around and enjoy your stay!
Here’s a couple of nifty stuff to explore while we sort things out:
- You can now view the website on your mobile and tablet without wanting to gauge your eyes out!
- We’ve integrated the shop into the website, so everything is in one place!
- Go on and participate in issue #11 of the Good to Know zine – it’s a touchy topic this issue: the jobs you take on!
UPDATE: We’re in the midst of making sure that everything is good to go here on the new site, so unfortunately some of your earlier comments were lost in the process! The good news is that it won’t be much longer until we’re up and running at 100%, so please bear with us! 🙂
definitely easier to navigate…. but i used to really like the feel of the old site… it used to speak volumes to me. this site has less flavour! its more generic …. your old site used bolder colour it had more impact… hope this helps.. still love all your content.
Most illustrators and artists nowadays have just a white page for portfolio with nothing else but their works. Look at all the Cargo websites. The focus now is on content. We kept it clean but still we added some personal touches – like the hand lettered logo which Amy did, the mosaic background which we designed inspired by her Pinterest likes.
I want to apologize to all of you who posted comments in the last two days and they got lost. It was a very complex task moving all the content to the new website and we did have some hiccups! But now everything is ready and the wonderful Amy can resume her blogging.
I like it, its fresh, clear, easy to navigate. Love the mosaic. Change is good even if I loved the previous Gemma Correll header as well!

I like it. I read the top comment, and agree both sides. I do like a splash of colour and texture, but think you need to balance it with clean and elegant design, I think you have struck the right balance. As much as I loved the old layout, it was starting to look a little dated. This looks great, well done.
