Sponsor giveaway: Judy Kaufmann

Judy Kaufmann giveaway!

Barcelona-based illustrator Judy Kaufmann is no stranger here at Pikaland. We wrote (previously) about her obsession with repeating things, and of course her subjects include animals, famous people, houses, cars, trees and well, basically everything that can be repeated – and she sells her lovely prints over in her Etsy shop.

She’s one of Pikaland’s sponsors for the month of November and I’m thrilled that she is offering a chance for our readers to win one of her big prints# – at a whopping generous size of 11.7in x 16.5in (or 297 × 420mm)!

All you need to do is leave your comment as to which print is your favorite from her collection and we’ll draw out a lucky winner after the 6th of December 2011!

*UPDATE: Commenting has now closed, thanks so much for participating. The winner of this giveaway is Marisa as chosen via random.org!

  1. I’m moving in with a friend at the start of January so it’d be nice to have a big print hanging in one of the communal areas! I can’t choose between the Tree in black and white or Friends in 3D though… It’ll depend on what my friend would like to see hanging in our living room 🙂

  2. I’m in love with all of them, it’s so hard to choose! I think I’ll have to go with Houses and Birds, although Traffic Jam comes in as a close second. Keep up the good work, Kaufmann!

  3. I like the Blue Tree Big Print best, as its so simple, yet immediately evokes images of the moon and sun too, which links so well to the tree! The patterns also remind me of William Morris’s work. Its lovely.

  4. My favorite is houses and birds. I am currently obsessed with birds and the houses they live in. I am on a hunt for great images depicting the whicmical houses of birds. I love creative minds!

  5. I’m smitten by “Holidays big-print” because it’s all 20th century modern, with a touch of Jean Arp – in black and white.
But it has an element of magic and whimsy in the form of an orange bear. It’s just standing there for you to project your fears and/or joys.
    Just love it.

  6. Has to be identical twins. I would give this to two beautiful young women identical twins of course. Both incredibly kind and generous people but one of them currently in hospital, just out of a coma and on a long slow road to recovery. Her twin has been by her side, willing her back to life. They would love this beautiful tribute to identical twins – I do!

  7. It’s hard to pick just one, they are all so beautiful, but if I must it would be the birds and colors print. It makes me smile.

  8. I cant go past between ‘Identical Twins Big Print’ or ‘World Big Print’ , one being twins myself this print is perfect for me to remember our close relationship with my brother, other will looks great in a room if you see it from afar but looks at it closely you can see these hands like which has a great effect. What an a amazing shop, she is absolutely one talented Illustrator!

  9. I really enjoy Judy’s work and love all her prints. I actually think my very very favorite, however, is the one she’s offering in this giveaway. I love the little birds and the black and white is used so very well.

  10. It’s so hard to choose, such beautiful prints and gorgeous colour palettes. Hard to pick between Love Balloons and House and Birds but I think Houses and Birds gets it. Beautiful! (and very jealous Judy lives in Barcelona, one of my favourite and most inpsiring places in the world!)
