The Gocco PikaPackage giveaway!

We’re really excited to announce the launch of the latest PikaPackage Project — the Gocco Edition, that features a curated list of 17 artists and illustrators who dabble in the medium!

I fell in love with the Gocco machine ever since I saw the works that came out of one. Simple, colorful and compact, the toy-like table-top screenprinting contraption was easy to operate and so much fun! As the number of artists who used Gocco for their art increased (as well as those who loved the medium), I thought that it would be a huge fun to organize a package around the theme! The Gocco PikaPackage is a beautiful collection of works by these artists:

1. Benconservato
2. Cindy Tomcyzk
3. Dee Beale
4. Denise Holmes
5. Emily Glaubinger
6. Fric De Mentol
7. haunted house of projects
8. Jesses Mess

10. Keeki
11. Kids Haus
12. Laura Berger
13. Mateo & Isabel
14. Moira Millman
15. Piktorama

  1. There are so many lovely artist included in this list. Its hard to pick just one. I really like DeeBeale’s bunny prints. They have a great folk art look to them. I also like Laura Georges, Goggles print and Moirama’s Custard the Cat print. Like I said, its hard to pick just one!

  2. I have to say they are all amazing (I’m such a kiss ass, but it’s true). However Benconservato is at the top of the list for a reason! I love the mixed media pieces and the unusual characters so much.

  3. How does one ever choose! Benconservato was so striking. But so is everyone else… I’d go for Susan Schwake’s fabulous diversity and Laura Berger’s adorableness too!

  4. The cat one is cute! I love that artist and a couple other ones up there because I think a lot of them would look cute in my daughters room.
But…Moira Millman is my favorite!! Those prints would go in my room 🙂

  5. I adore Fric De Mentol’s illustration because it’s just the type that I’m attracted to.

(I went AHHHHHHH when I saw this post on my reader lol)

thank you for the chance! (:

  6. oh my goodness, this would be PERFECT for me! I have an unused gocco sitting in my house and I’m definitely looking for some inspiration! 🙂

  7. This is the perfect giveaway. Not only is the prize AMAZING, but I also got the opportunity to find new artists whom I had never seen before! I have to say that Moira Millman’s work is SO dreamy. I love it! Thanks for such a great opportunity. Much love!

  8. I LOVE Cindy Tomczyk’s letterpress prints so much! Bluegrass Birds is my favorite at the moment, with a gorgeous soft palette and illustrated banjo “trees”.

  9. It was hard to choose, but I think my favorite artwork is Moira Millman’s. The ladies look so delicate, especially their eyes — they seem so savvy, like they’re holding a secret. 🙂 And the birds, the birds are too cute!

  10. Benconservato and Susan Estelle Kwas for sure! I’m so glad to find out about these awesome artists, even if I don’t win (though I hope I do!).

  11. so hard to pick one!

at first glance I might’ve said MATEO+ISABEL because I liked almost all of their work. They brought back fond memories of hours I spent drawing on notebook paper [especially carintheclouds]. I was also impressed by their varied approach to each subject [compare bow/bear & octopus ]. I’m a camera nerd so the card set was immediately appealing too.

But, in the end LAURA GEORGE is my favourite. The sleepy-eyed LOVEMONSTER clinched it for me, but in general I love the palette of colour she uses on alot of her pieces. More than just colour, the patterns and stylized strokes she employs to fill space [evrything from beards, fur, and chimney-smoke to mushroom-cap underbellies] are downright BEAUTIFUL. Subject matter played a part too. I’m a musician, so the lumilop prints won me over quite easily…kora & sarangi are two instruments I’ve never seen in artwork before. Excellent work, really!

Other favourites: flying fox by KEEKI /&/ pincushion print by KATE PUGSLEY

  12. i LOVE the work of laura berger! her work is absolutely wonderful, i’d hate to pick one… The Flock Print. Um no… One Voyage. or.. the Gibran Tree! sigh….

  13. I really love Dee Beale’s style. The Nordic Blue Hares are my favorite, though I love the Scandinavian Red Hare as well. I love the attention to detail she adds to her very simple pieces. They’re classy and fun at the same time. I would love one of the hares to hang in my daughters nursery (which is rabbit themed). It would go perfectly with the homey eclectic feel I’m going for. 🙂

  14. I love everything made by Cindy Tomczyk. I have some of her work in my collection but there’s always room for more goodness in the house:)

  15. I watched a video on how-to-do-Gocco printing a while ago and ever since that video I have been itching to buy a Gocco printer for myself.

This is a great collection of amazing art works by talented artists. It’s hard to choose just one! I really love Fric De Mentol’s style and adorable characters!

  16. I honestly can not pick one favorite! I’ve been in love with Gocco works for years and all of the artists use it to great effect! I’d be happy with any one of them…fingers crossed

  17. I´m very inspired! I have now discovered great artists, and a great gadget, and have spent my whole day looking at all of their creations, and trying to get hold of a Gocco! Well done to all of the artists, i like you all!!

  18. It’s very hard to chose just one! My favorites are Dee Beale, Denise Holmes and Moira Millman. Dee’s work is like beautiful modern decorative art. Denise’s invites and birth announcements are just so lovely and remind me of vintage children book illustrations. Moira’s prints are happy, fun and I also love like all of them seem to be telling a story.

  19. Whoa, awesome giveaway, yet again!
Emily Glaubinger’s work is AMAZING. I love the patterns she uses and the colour, I’m totally her newest fan of her blog! LOVE IT.

  20. They were all good pieces but I was surprised to find myself going back to Benconservato again and again. Not normally the style I am drawn to, but the organic and spontaneous looking characters were just so intriguing to stare at!

  21. Such an amazing package! The prints are all so pretty, it’s hard to choose a favorite. I love Moira Millman’s work, she’s amazing! Fric De Mentol is also one of my all times favorites.

  22. I love Dee Beale’s style. Her prints always look so meticulously perfect – something that I have long since stopped striving for. She also gets really nice solids and her designs have a lovely, old-world kind of symmetry to them. Hope that makes sense. Cheers.

  23. Dee Beale for me too, I have two of her prints at home and the clarity she achieves is outstanding. She has such a unique style and I love how she mirrors some of the designs

  24. Wow, so many great artists in this package!

What I love best about the PikaPackage is that I discover somebody new every time….and my favourite that I’ve never seen before this time has to be Dee Beale – beautiful!

I also discovered Amaranta (Piktorama) only recently and I’m in love with her cupcakes too!

  25. The work of Dee Beale contains honest references to Scandinavian design and she has achieved such flatness within the Gocco printing process. Her work is considered and genuine, the site that your link takes you to also offers great insights into her works in progress,

  26. Almost impossible to choose!! But I did favored the work of Laura Berger, I just like the textures she adds to her drawings.
Thank you so much for the giveaway, I will be sure to post it on my blog! hello

  27. I’d have to say that Laura Berger’s work is definitely my favorite. It makes me so happy. The visuals of sounds and emotions strike a cord in me and make me feel that everything is as it should be. It’s like she’s reached into my subconscious, given it form and color, and put it on paper for all to see. The peacefulness and optimism are just too perfect. Her work is so inspiring and I love love love it!

  28. A collection/tribute to gocco! fab idea!
Fric De Mentol – sucked me in. Quirky, evocative and on a lavender sachet – very useful. I wanted to dream away..
