PikaPackage July Update #6

Rosie Miles' Pissy Fishwives!

Phew! There’s supposed to be another three entries for July’s round of the PikaPackage Project, but they’re in the midst of updating their shops (or making a big move!), so I’ll end this edition with Rosie Miles’ sassy Pissy Fishwives — an exclusive to the PikaPackage Project. The total participant list is now 38, which makes it another fantastic round — thank you so much for everyone’s support!

Read up about Rosie over here!

The giveaway will happen next week, so sign up for our mailing list (if you haven’t already)!

The sale of these fantastic PikaPackages will launch at the same time too. 🙂

p/s — Happy Independence Day for folks in the US — I’ll take a couple of days off while I finish up the zine (there’s a few technical issues), so rest assured that there won’t be any surprises or new announcements until Sunday.

PikaPackage: Rosie Miles

Herbert the Victorian Male Bather, chest hair et al.

The dolls made by Rosie Miles are one of the spunkiest I’ve seen so far. They’re cute without being saccharine sweet, and her contributions, the Pissy Fishwives (who look like they sat on the rock a little too long waiting for their men to return from the sea) — are sassy and adorable. Rosie is from the UK, and she is an animator/illustrator/dollmaker who lives by the sea with her two kittens.

She painted these exclusive Pissy Fishwives just for the PikaPackage Project — and each of them are so precious! Have a look at more over here.

PikaPackage July Update #5

Ah, I’m so happy that you all liked the banner (commenters & emailers, you know who you are!) — I too am giddy with happiness just by looking at it!

And as we continue our round of contributors for the July edition of the PikaPackage Project, we have these lovely participants:

  1. Rebecca Hahn sent in a beautiful print called “Hey!”, and fabulous letterpress & satin-finish postcards;
  2. Kate Phillips of Charmfoundry sent in beautiful prints (including limited edition mini-prints);
  3. Ana of Fric De Mentol sent in a bevy of stuff! We have her lovely Gocco-printed prints and cards, notebooks and even a posey packet!
