Tell me a story

Ana Ventura has a new limited edition print titled Tell me a story in her shop that’s hand-pressed by Mav of port2port press.

A little update on what’s happening over on Pikaland’s backend:

  1. I’m tinkering about and trying to find a better way to organize information here on the blog;
  2. Getting ready for a photo shooting session for August’s contributions;
  3. Packing up the last of the orders to be sent out to buyers (along with a few that I have yet to send off to the participants—eeek!); and
  4. Deciding if a Feedblitz post is better off being a weekly thing or a daily thing in your inbox. Hmmm.

I’ve gotten so many emails within these past few days that I can’t really answer all of them (although I appreciate each and every one!) If you’ve emailed me about October’s PikaPackage Project, I’ll send out an email to you in due time!

Tell me what’s your story? 🙂

  1. Hi Amy,
    I received my Pikapackage last week and I have been delighted with the contents. I really like the zine and will read it in detail this weekend; it’s great to have an insight into the creative processes of so many artists and illustrators.

    Yesterday I went to Tokyo to see the Emily Kame Kngwarreye exhibition at the National Arts Centre. It was the first time I had been there and it is HUGE. The exhibition was a knockout. Superb. I shall blog about it in due course. Then I went to some small commercial galleries to make some introductions and line up times to take my portfolio in. I am moving house later this year or early next, and I really want to empty out the studio before then! HELP!

    I received the latest Art Scene Monitor today. It’s put out monthly by the Australia Japan Foundation and lists exhibitions and artist/designer opportunites in Japan. I’ll blog about that too, maybe tomorrow. Meanwhile here’s the link:

    It’s hot and humid today and I got woken up by an earthquake last night so I’m off to take a nen’ne (seista) ZZZzzzzzz.
    cheers
    Andrea
    PS; Keep up the good work. Gambatte Pikaland!

    Hi Andrea, I’m so glad that you liked your package! And oh wow, thank you so much for sharing your week — I wish I could have gone to Tokyo for my trip, but oh well, there’s always another time! 😉

    Arigato gozaimas!
