Anke Weckmann was born in Hannover, Germany and came to London in 2001, where she is now based. She’s a freelance illustrator with a kick-ass portfolio, and a blog where she lets us peek in on what she’s done lately. Besides her beautiful drawings of people (and sometimes be-spectacled cats), I love her wonderful hand-lettering as well.

i love anke’s work! her drawings are so beautiful. and her palette..i love her palette! her colors are so smooth, almost good enough to eat!
