Blanket Magazine’s 15th issue!

Have you read the latest issue of Blanket Magazine yet?

The awesome Will Bryant did the cover of this issue, which is bursting with plenty of eye-candy, interviews and artists’ works. Pikaland was invited to participate in a little feature called Craft-E, where we talk about blogging, and what attracts us to blogs. We’re so chuffed to be featured alongside Lara of Kirin Notebook, Meighan of My Love For You… and also Alarna of Little Jane Street.

And have you also seen the changes Bec and the team made to Blanket’s website? They now have a cool blog on the main page. YAY Blanket!

2 Giveaways + LPP + Kate’s digs

The weekend is upon us again, and what a great way to top it off with a few links?

Over at the Twenty2wo blog, Adam is having a little giveaway where one lucky commentor on the post will receive a pair of butterfly screenprints just in time for spring from Brainstorm Prints and Design. The lucky person will be picked on Thursday 4/9.

Or if you’d rather not comment on anything, and prefer to just heart Etsy pieces instead, why not head over to Jennifer Downey’s Etsy shop and heart this piece for the week? Each week, she choose an image from her shop and post the title on her shop front page. The lucky one who hearts the piece will win a pack of 5 postcards of that image, and winners are chosen each Friday at 2pm PST. This one ends on Friday 4/10.

There’s a new artist on the block for Little Paper Planes Press and it’s David Linneweh, whose work is made into an archival print to show the beautiful wood he paints on as well as the pencil lines he uses in the background of his work. It’s a very limited edition of 15 pieces, so get yours over here.

Also, Little Paper Planes teamed up with Poketo to produce 6 fabulous wallets!

And to top off the list of links, have you seen Kate Bingaman-Burt’s (of Obsessive Consumption) digs over at Design Sponge? She and husband Clifton Burke filled their space with so many inspiring little pieces from the art community!

Pikaland: Friend favs on Paper n Stitch!

A month ago, Brittni of Paper n Stitch invited me on her beautiful online exhibition space to select 20 works from various artists, and the result is my Friend Favs for this round! I’m so excited to see so many wonderful artists, and I’ve also discovered so many new ones to be added to my list of favourites. Brittni’s blog is also a treasure trove of finds, so be sure to bookmark her site!

Hop on over to Paper n Stitch’s Friend Favs to see the full list of what I picked… and believe me it was a tough call! 🙂

{Thank you so much Brittni!}
