linzie hunter

My little typographic heart is break dancing and more than likely doing the worm right now over these lettering sketchbooks from London based illustrator/designer Linzie Hunter. Also, how awesome is the letter arrangement of her name?

Fontcapture

Ever wanted to have a font that’s made up of your own handwriting? Well your wish just came true. FontCapture does exactly that.

Have fun experimenting!

Working Proof

Anna Corpron and Sean Auyeung, from one of my favourite blogs, Sub-Studio has just launched a new project called Working Proof, which seeks to promote art and social responsibility.

From their website:
Each print is paired with a charity of the artist’s choice, to which we are donating 15% of the sale of each print – creating what we believe to be a product with not just aesthetic, but social value. Besides showcasing emerging artists and great artwork, the intent of the Working Proof is to promote a variety of charities and to expose them to new supporters through the appreciation of art and creativity.

They will release a new print once a week, on Tuesdays at 1:30 pm, EST. First one up is one done by Samantha Hahn entitled Burden that features a woman bearing a heavy load, represented by chairs chained to her back. Chairs are really meant for resting in, yet she carries them — indicating a juxtaposition of roles, which suggests that sometimes it seems that we create our own burdens in life.

{Congratulations Anna & Sean!}
