Loving the colorful, fun illustrations from MA Illustration Graduate Maria Err – who has a lovely sense of humor and a beautiful style to boot. I’d say she’s well on her way to becoming La Fabuleuse (her alter ego) in no time.

Remember when we held a giveaway with Thumback Press? We mentioned then that TP has changed hands and TP’s new owner, Barry, has just given their website a new lease of life with total revamp!
We’re thrilled with what Barry has done so far (my favorite new feature is the Virtual Room, where you get to see the artist’s work hung up on a virtual wall!) Art is now available in many sizes as well, and on many papers too. New artists and their artworks are being added as we speak, and their prints are available on stretched canvas and framed/matted (over 200 frames & mats); all viewable in real time!
A quick chat with Barry revealed that their mission is to help artists thrive and to help navigate the choppy waters of where art and commerce meet. And while the site is a great place for people to discover really great art, it’s also a safe haven for artists, where they will not be exploited or taken advantage of in any way but rather promoted with enthusiasm, ethics and business principles.
We’re thrilled to welcome him to the community, and I personally can’t wait to see more artists over at Thumbtack Press!
For Pikaland readers, Barry is offering a 15% discount on your purchase from now till 20th October — just enter the coupon code PKA15 during checkout!

Edgar R. McHerly is the guy behind the comics at Invisible Hairsuits. Knowing my penchant for weird comics and for finding the funny in what ever I see, I immediately took a liking to what he does. Although some of his comics are quite disgusting (props if you’re into these kinds of things), but sometimes if you stick around and go clicky on everything, you’ll be able to find gems like this.
Nonetheless, I dig his humor and he is one cool guy who also makes t-shirts, wallets and prints, so do hop on over to his shop for more fun treats!
Hi there and welcome to Pikaland! This is my personal playground where I write and research about art, creativity, and the pursuit of art entrepreneurship. Enjoy!
