Marisa Morea

Marisa Morea

For my first Pikaland post, I chose an artist whose work I adore (well, all the artists I’ll be posting about will have work I adore, but I had to start somewhere…) Her name is Marisa Morea and she creates sweet and charming snapshots of life. I love her “Favorito” piece because I think everybody has felt like that at some point! You can see more of her work on her blog.

Pikaland contributor: Gemma Correll

Gemma Correll

I’m so excited to announce our latest contributor, the very talented and lovely Gemma Correll!

Gemma is the illustrator behind the Pikaland banner, and is our very first participant for the PikaPackage Project last year! She likes drawing, printmaking, sewing, drinking coffee and typing things like “Dancing pugs” into YouTube. She also enjoys finding new and interesting artwork on the internet, which is what she will be blogging about on Pikaland.

Please give a big warm welcome to Gemma — her first post will be coming up in a moment!

… and there’s also another giveaway in a couple of hours, so watch out for that too!

Brett Manning

Brett Manning is a Chicago based artist and illustrator who works mostly in ink and colored pencils. Her work is very detailed, as you can see from her sample works above — I love that she has a certain softness in her strokes (I’m not sure if I’m making any sense here!)

You can head over to her Etsy shop for prints and originals.
