Let’s Just Be Friends

The opposite of love isn’t really hate. Or that’s what I was trying to say in my illustration up here anyway. This little piece was done for Erin’s awesome Mankind Mag (which, by the way, you should totally check out!) with the theme “Let’s Just Be Friends” but didn’t make it due to unforeseen circumstances.

So, I thought it might still work for Valentines Day for some of you, and it’s now up as a free download to be printed out on your very own cardstock, or if you prefer, a print to be hung (I’m not sure how the receiver would ever want to hang this up their wall if that was the intended message, but I digress.)

Happy Valentines Day everyone, and I hope you’re out there celebrating — whatever your reason!

Feed Your Soul

The very fantastic Jen over at Indiefixx has thought up of a brilliant project to spread the love of art. Not only are they affordable, but the works by artists of the Feed Your Soul project are yours for FREE.

Yes. I kid you not!

The first round of prints are made by Jessica Gonacha, Samantha Hahn and Jen herself!

Spread the love and share the news with everyone you know — for today, fellow forgetful couple without a gift in hand can now print one out for their love! (not that I actually condone such a thing, gulp!)

The Hundred Dresses Project

I always fail at self-imposed challenges.

So it’s always great to hear about how others have gather their creative ooompah to make this one fantastic project, like Kirsten of Tollipop who is challenging herself to draw a hundred dresses. She will document her process in her blog and she will be selling archival prints of her efforts in her Etsy shop. She’s also inviting everyone to come join her and make their very own project by doing what they want to do (it doesn’t have to be dresses, or even a hundred either!).
