ArtHouse Co-op’s Sketchbook Tour ’09

I’ve just sent my sketchbook out to ArtHouse Co-op (yes, I am super late!) and if you’re interested in what I did, I uploaded the whole shebang up here in my Flickr stream.

Although the theme was “everyone we know”, I was quite apprehensive about drawing the people or things — because I would need to take photos and I’m not comfortable with taking pictures of people unless it’s on the sly. So I decided to play it a little safe and tell some stuff about me and Mr. T instead.

What did you do for this round?
And do please share a link to yours if you have it uploaded somewhere!

Yael’s latest work!

Did you all see Yael’s latest work? It’s three new prints from her digital illustrations, and they’re all available in her etsy shop. This one in particular does not seem happy about the fact that she’s serving tea. Well, I’d be unhappy too if I had to walk over balls to serve them.

Meet Gary

I’ve always wondered how it would be if I had an alter-ego, and how I’d get into a mindset that was completely new. The biggest difference would be that I could do whatever I want and then, when I feel like it, I’d document it for all to see. No matter how outrageous or boring it would be.

Take this chap here, Gary. He seems like a nice guy, he’s blue. And well, dare I say it — he’s got a massive narcissistic streak going on. But his one-liners are pretty cute and since it’s his real life, he’s showing the world that he can do whatever he wants with it. (the site loads a little slow for me, but hang on for a little while and it will start to grow on you.)

{Thanks Joshua!}
