Laundry Day + Recuperating

Laundry Day print, inspired by William Heath Robinson’s “Washing Day”, available in Ann Whim Tseng’s Etsy shop.

Yesterday, I was made to review an acupuncture clinic, and right now, I’m feeling weird sensations in my upper body, and that weird concoction I gulped down yesterday made me wake up in the middle of the night at 4 a.m.

It’s now 11.30 p.m. at night, and my eyes can barely open after a full day at work, but I just wanted to thank you all for your emails and I’m going to reply each and everyone of you… tomorrow.

The bed is calling!

Heather Smith Jones

A Rainbow Reflection

Stickin’ Together

I’m loving the work of Heather Smith Jones, especially her original one-offs that employs the use of the pinhole technique — a method that she started during her research into Australian Aboriginal art. She translated their use of painted dots by piercing tiny needle sized holes through paper to create pattern, text, and image in her own work.

Right now, she and Alicia Alferman are running a daily photo blog called the Noticing Project where they post photos and imagery from fragments and moments of their lives.

You can see more of Heather’s one-off original drawings – signed, dated and titled here.

Beach Dogs

Beach Dog prints; Beach Dog softpainting

I feel like recently my posts has a lot of black and white in it, but I had to add another one to the lot because Natascha S. Rosenberg’s Beach Dog prints (available in a limited edition of 10), and Beach Dogs softpaintings in her shop are too cute to pass up.

I’m a fan of her Flickr page, and you can view her illustration portfolio here.
