Presto Bingo

Presto Bingo is the work of husband and wife team of Joyce Hesselberth and David Plunkert. Together, they also run an illustration studio named Spur Design where they’ve worked with clients from MTV Networks, The New Yorker, Time Magazine and many more.

They recently took some time to work on a more personal project — a line of fine art prints for kids’ rooms that features colorful animals, robots and aliens in print at their Presto Bingo shop, that I think would liven up a child’s room brilliantly.

Max Estes

Nervous Larry, painted on 1/2” inch plywood

I recently discovered the work of Max Estes, a Milwaukee, Wisconsin-based freelance illustrator, cartoonist, and author who also the creator of the daily comic strip, My Life as a Bunny.

Billy Sasquatch, the posable puppet

He maintains an Etsy shop where he sells his prints and plywood creations, one of which is his Billy Sasquatch puppet which I thought was really fresh. They’re all handmade to order from 1/2” painted plywood and his arms, head and legs can be manipulated for your posing pleasure.

Hello, Again Max’s debut graphic novel

Sofia Barao

Une Histoire Vrai original painting + collage work

Sofia Barao is a visual artist from France who has lots of beautiful canvas paintings infused with collage works on her website, and prints on her Etsy shop.

One I particularly liked was entitled Fauteuil print that’s printed on vintage paper, and inspired by Marie-Antoinette’s sofa.

Read up on her blog and see her beautiful flickr stream.
