PikaPackage: Aqua-Velvet

Wayside Motel, from the Route 66 series of photographs

By day, Amy Henderson is a graphic designer for her very own studio, and by night, she runs Aqua Velvet, where she sells her illustrations and photographs; and Studio Morphologie where she combines her love of jewelry, illustration + photography.

Amy Henderson's prints

Currently, her shop is featuring a lot of 1950’s themed works — illustrations and photographs that was inspired by an extensive and fantastic road trip out west and her years living in New Mexico. She sent in wonderful prints of her illustration from the collection, which you can see more here.

Rachel Caiano

White square figure nº 1, a collage original still available in her shop

I am in love with Rachel Caiano’s work. She’s an artist based in Portugal, who illustrates regularly for Gingko magazine and Domingo magazine; her simple lines made even more beautiful with strategic, yet minimal placement of bits of fabric and paper.

White square figure nº 51, Collage and drawing on paper, Private collection

She has a shop too, where she sells her original collage + illustration creations. My favorite has go to be this one.
