You know how some people can make a fox look… well… foxy? Well that honor would have to go to Amy Blackwell, because I’m head over heels in love with her illustrations of cats, dogs and foxes. My favorite has got to be The Little Blue Dog / Cat (pictured above) because I can’t resist a dog in a woolly patchwork full-suit cardy. For now though, I would have to rein myself in as I’ve just gotten my wedding bands custom made by an artist over on Etsy for my marriage ceremony (the official signing, not the hoopla!) and so things are a little tight at the moment.

I love me a good sketchbook flip, and sometimes I stumble on a big lot of them (it’s like discovering gold), like these by Craig Atkinson. He sells selected images from his sketchbooks in little zines too, and you can see more of them over at his Cafe Royal shop.
