Anatomical Nesting Dolls

Stuntkid

How amazing are these nesting dolls by Jason Levesque – aka Stuntkid – made for an upcoming show at the Rothick Art Haus? I may not have known what the innards of a matryoshka looked like before, and now that I have, a part of me still wishes that I don’t. Of course it’s mostly a wow for me, although there was a “ewwww, gross” moment when I first saw it! The good kind, of course.

Love these whimsical stamp sets created by Patricia of Memi the Rainbow. She’s an Italian girl living in Paris where she studies art. In between studying, you can find her crafting up a storm at her little studio! See here to see more of her studio, via Etsy’s Open Studio and also keep up with her via her blog.

Saga Bergebo

Palos Verdes

Pretty, quirky collage pieces and illustrations by Saga Bergebo (see her shop here), a graphic design and illustration student in Malmö, Sweden. I love that they’re playful and fun, subtle yet focused, and plenty of patterns strewn about. That’s what I love about Swedish artists – they make everything look so… Swedish, if you know what I mean.
(I’m lacking in the vocabulary department today, so if you have other words to describe them by all means, please share them with me in the comments section!)
