There is still much to be done

Brent Schoepf

Happy Monday everyone!

I’m going through the comments left by participants of our 2012 survey and I just wanted to say that you are CRAZY AMAZING.
Thank you for being so generous with your thoughts and constructive comments!

There’s a lot of work that I want to do for Pikaland and it seems that having conversations in my mind alone is never sufficient, and it’s why I have these yearly surveys – because I want Pikaland to grow and evolve. And also, most importantly because this place has become much about YOU, as it is about me and my thoughts on art and illustration.

There’s so much work to do, so I better get cracking!

Have a great week ahead folks!

I know I say a lot of times about how much I like each and everyone of the work of the illustrators I put on here, but Pia Bramley blows my mind. So much so that she has already made it on a separate list of mine altogether (the number is growing on this one as well, so I’m not sure why I bother actually.)

It’s something to do with those amazing line of hers, and the fact that her characters seem nonchalantly cool yet sad, all at the same time.

{ Happy weekend everyone! There’s still one more day left to enter Pikaland’s 2012 survey, so this is your chance to let us know what you think of what we have done so far! }
