Lucky Jackson has taken up an incredible challenge – 365 days of making these embroidered pieces of artwork. It’s day 247 already and I’m cheering for her behind my computer screen. I can only imagine the amount of work that she’s taken upon herself (and that includes taking pictures of them and listing them in her shop for sale!)
Hallucination: that’s what Yayoi Kusama’s work is all about. The best-know living artist from Japan who influenced people like Andy Warhol, made me and my friends get more and more interested in her as we were entering the rooms and her universe that is so unique and somewhat very bizarre.
It’s a must visit if you’re in London right now. You’ll experience and feel things that goes from uncomforted dizziness to complete amazedness.
I’ll never forget the “Infinited Mirrored Room – Filled with the Brilliance of Life” where you enter in a room of mirrors and its filled with these very small lamps that shines with different colors at different timing and makes you feel like you’re in an infinite world, that you can walk and look at yourself for your whole life never arriving at the end of anything. There’s a video where you can see what I’m talking about:
The pictures where taken by Thais Caramico and Roberto Almeida.

Amazing illustrations and drawings of nature by Liam StevensonLiam Stevens – an image maker and designer based in London.
UPDATE
The last time this post went up, it was under the name Liam Stevenson, which is totally not the artist’s name. I’m mortified to let you know that the person who drew all these lovely images is LIAMSTEVENS – and not Liam Stevenson (maybe there is one and he can draw, but I’m pretty sure it won’t be like what the Mr. Stevens does). So with great embarrassment, here’s too a public service reminder to those out there if you (like me) have been sending out emails to yourselves via the iPhone – be very wary of the dreaded autocorrect function.
And also it’s my own personal reminder to check things more thoroughly the next time. Sorry for the boo-boo!
Hi there and welcome to Pikaland! This is my personal playground where I write and research about art, creativity, and the pursuit of art entrepreneurship. Enjoy!
All images are subject to copyright by their respective owners. Please be courteous and add their names when you share their work (i.e. on Pinterest!) It would make me really happy if you could link back to Pikaland when you blog about stuff you saw over here too. Thank you!
