I love the handmade quality of Andrea Kang’s work – she’s a freelance artist based in Rhode Island. The addition of collage pieces into her work breaks up the monotony that I usually associate with vector drawings, and along with unexpected texture in her plushies, makes for an interesting portfolio.
She recently exhibited at Myplasticheart, NYC and is one of the artists for Poketo’s Forest Fables series.
Nidhi Chanani is a freelance artist and designer who is currently based in San Francisco. Born in Calcutta and raised in suburban California, her rich, atmospheric illustrations has been covered by CNN and Daily Candy among many others.
As a sponsor on Pikaland, she’s giving away not one but TWO copies of her book, Everyday Love. The book spans 96 pages with over 98 illustrations, all gathered in a 8×10 soft cover book that is signed by the artist.
