oh my deer.

I don’t believe in hanging up cute creatures’ heads up on my walls, but if you’re into these kind of things, then a better alternative would be I Love Grey Skies’ mounted deer head.

It’s quite sad really. the * whole * deer must have been really adorable. 😉

{PS. She has a lovely blog too}

Your Secret Admiral

Your Secret Admiral’s true identity is shrouded in a haze of mystery (and I will allow it to remain so…) Once a highly regarded sea captain, she has since retired to a life fueled by an insatiable desire for knowledge of obscure sea creatures, under-the-radar libraries, recycled materials, discarded books, an artillery of crafting tools, and many pots of tea each afternoon. (no, I didn’t make this up, it’s at her YSA’s website!)

All I can tell you is that she’s based in Brooklyn, makes handmade books, drawings, and paper goods; and that her goods are environmentally friendly and are created from recycled, reused, rescued, or salvaged materials. You can see more of the items that she sent in here!

Sam Bradd

Sam Bradd is an artist based in Vancouver, Canada, and works with paper, glass and fabrics to produce one of a kind artworks. His specialty also includes bookbinding.

I’m loving his works in a series called “Eat Local”, that’s available as prints or silkscreen teatowels, which you can purchase soon (his Etsy shop will be open in October!). His Upcycled wooden cards and wooden gift tags are also available at Dandelion Kids.
