Tracciamenti

I’m enjoying the Flickr stream of Alessandro Romeo Camilla (My apologies — I translated an interview on Babelfish to find out who the artist was, and I could not be more wrong. I’ve learnt my lesson!) who works under the (label?) Tracciamenti. He She has some works for sale too, and they can be found in her Bigcartel shop.

{Thanks Camilla!}

Needles + Pens: You’ve Got Light in Your Eyes

If you’re in the SF area, then head over to Needles + Pens Gallery where Meighan of My Love For You has curated an exhibition of 21 artists such as Maxwell Loren Holyoke-Hirsch, Olivia Jeffries, Will Bryant (who is doing a bang-up job covering over on My Love For You while Meighan is away!) and so many more to the theme of YOU’VE GOT LIGHT IN YOUR EYES. See the complete line-up of the artists on this page — the show will run from now through June 28th, 2009.

Congrats Meighan!

Teri Chung

Beautiful work by Teri Chung, an illustrator based in New York. She took a detour after graduating in illustration from Parsons in 2003 into fashion, but is now revisiting her first love once again.

She just opened her Etsy shop and I’m loving her work so far — you can definitely see the influence of fashion in her drawings, which are mostly done in watercolor and ink. You can read more about her journey on her blog.

I’m sorry to have left Pikaland’s readers in the lurch these past few days, but I’m happy to let you know that I’m back and refreshed from an impromptu trip —- I’ve just come home after being away for a few days with Mr. T — visiting friends and just walking about in another city sure does wonders!

Thank you all for being so patient while I was away, and now if you’ll excuse me, it’s time to dive headlong into the emails that have been sitting in my inbox for far too long!
