natsuki otani

Please meet Natsuki Otani.

Hello, my name is Natsuki Otani and I am from Tokyo, studied at Norwich University College of the Arts and am working in England as a freelance illustrator. I’m loving green tea flavoured latte and listening to Efterklang at the moment. I adore my family, friends, and hamsters, I describe myself as patient and can be reckless without knowing.

No need to remember her, because I bet she’ll be illustrating everywhere for everyone soon. It’s just a matter of time.

Good to Know #8: contributor’s page

good to know 8

Thank you so much for coming along for the Good to Know project!

As a token of appreciation, you can download the PDF copy of the zine above for free, and if you’d like to have a copy to keep, it costs just USD$5.00 and already includes shipping. I’ve tried to see if I could afford to send it to everyone for free, but I don’t think that’s possible — so this price will cover the minimum shipping + misc fees!

I would love it if you would love to participate again for the next round. We’re switching it up a little with a little more fun thrown in!

NEXT ISSUE:
Send me the best advice you’ve heard as an artist via this twitter hashtag: #GTK9 and I’ll compile them all!

What comes next will be announced later on!

NEXT ISSUE:
What’s the best advice you’ve received as an artist?

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

p/s—the complimentary issue is for your eyes only! I would appreciate that you do not share this link with others — if you’d like to direct others to the Good to Know zine, please direct them to this page: www.pikaland.com/goodtoknow.

Thanks everyone!

The Working Proof: Rich Gemmell

Rich gemmell

Rich gemmell

Remember Rich Gemmell? His print, “Falls” is a limited-edition of 50 prints that’s now available at the Working Proof. It was inspired by Transportation Alternatives – a NYC-based non-profit that advocates for bicycling, walking and public transit as the best transportation alternatives.

In the print, instead of traffic jams and exhaust fumes, the man is traveling to work down the river in an environmentally friendly kayak! Also, you know you’re going to be doing something good with the purchase of each print: 15% of each one sold will be donated to Transportation Alternatives.

Rich has lots of new work up to see, but no shop yet (!) so if you want to grab a print, his print for the Working Proof is your best bet yet!
