Oh Bara

Eireann Lorsung of Oh Bara is a Minneapolitan living in the Midlands of England, and has a fantastic blog where she writes about the theory and poems that she’s making.

She doesn’t have a shop yet (it’s slated to open in November), but she made these exclusive little etchings with chine collée (which you won’t find anywhere else!) They’re so precious, and I absolutely am in love with her work. You can also see and read about one of her projects, the La Carte Postale, a documentary about her making and sending postcards as she goes through the book by Jacques Derrida called The Postcard: from Socrates to Freud and Beyond.

Flora Douville

We featured Flora and her beautiful 2009 calendar before on Pikaland in this post, but what we didn’t tell you that she was also a participant for the October round!

She’s now on her honeymoon, but once she comes back on 21st October, be sure to check out her shop that’s decked out with her lovely watercolor paintings, especially her alphabet series, which she sent in! My favorite has to be the letter A, of course (you’ll have to see what animal corresponds with the letter when she comes back!)

Kate Endle

Kate Endle grew up in Ohio and has been making art for the past fifteen years! She currently lives in Washington and makes the most adorable textured collages of birds I’ve ever seen (of course, she draws and makes many other things too such as nature motifs and geometric patterns, but the birds, oh my!)

For the October round, she sent in mini-prints of her birdies and illustrations, which I’m sure you’ll love!
