In case you haven’t heard about Blanket, it’s a free PDF art + design + photography magazine that is released bi-monthly, and usually the cover art makes me skip right over. This time it’s a Travel issue, so I’m game for that — especially when all I’m going to be doing for awhile is more of the armchair kind.

I’m a big fan of Carson Ellis, but I don’t think I’ve mentioned how much I also love her calligraphy. For now I can only admire and ooh-aah over her handwriting from the little snippets of texts she wrote for her website.

Woohoo! Here’s the third update for the October round of the PikaPackage Project, and there’s still so much more to come! This time, the spotlight is on:

1. Amy Blackwell sent in a medley of her whimsical animal prints;
2. Naomi of The Time is Now sent in exclusive prints slipped into individually drawn envelopes;
3. Heli sent in adorable little magnets and a mini bear book;
4. Cate Anevski sent in beautiful matte prints of her illustration;
5. Diane Duda sent in specially prepared packages each containing a print and a handmade card;
6. Sarah + Gregory Spooner of The Lapwing Printworks sent in bright woodcut prints and also letterpressed cards;
7. Hilary Wagstaff of Little Moshi sent in bookmarks, a illustrated moleskine notebook (just the cover, people!), gocco prints and many other artworks; and
8. Licia of Theophany sent in two sets of original paintings on canvas, along with her illustrated set of cards AND fabric magnets!
