Results of the Dawanda competition!

Remember when Pikaland ran a competition with Dawanda a little while back?

Well, you’ll be glad to know that the winners are in! Elizabeth rounded up the winners — the winning shop, CraftPudding (who makes beautiful hand-carved stamps!) won a paid showcase spot and the lucky commenter, englishcookies won a €35 voucher to spend in Magda’s shop! To see my picks, head to my curated page here.

I’m so very happy that the turnout was fantastic — thank you to everyone who came along, and also to Elizabeth who was so gracious to organize the competition!

And now if you’ll excuse me, I have to go and make preparations for Chinese New Year, which falls on Monday — there’s loads of cleaning and washing to be done!

Jill Calder

Jill Calder is an illustrator, calligrapher, painter based in rural Fife, Scotland who also lecture in Illustration at Edinburgh College of Art.

I am thoroughly enjoying her blog where she talks about illustration and her daily life (when she has some free time on her hands!) and also her flickr stream where she showcases her awesome ink-based illustrations. Her work is also up for sale, but only via email.

Cosas Minimas

I’m a big fan of Blanca Gómez’s work which I found a few years ago. Her website is called Cosas Minimas (which means tiny things in Spanish), and I was so glad to hear that she finally opened up her own Etsy shop! She sells her prints, gocco prints and pocket mirrors with her illustrations on them.

You can also find her Moo cards, and also follow her on her beautiful flickr stream.
