It’s almost that time of the year again – the time when I get extreme wanderlust. I’m not sure if it’s the combination of throngs of people packing their bags for the very long weekend ahead (a big national holiday is here this week), or that I keep hearing people going off to some exotic destination (and if you’ll listen really carefully, you could hear me at the background begging for them to take me along.)

Either way, I wish more people could bring back sketchbooks filled with tales of their travels, like the what Emilie Boudet did for her trip to India.

Like this little nugget of wisdom about tea (I know quite a bit of tea-drinkers out there!) and a lot more other stuff that can be found on the Learn Something Everyday website. If nothing else, the facts you learn would make a great conversation starter. I’ll show you an example:

“Isn’t that your 10th cup of tea Amy?”
“Why, yes it is. What’s wrong with that?”
“Oh nothing really. You’re just 120 cups shy from meeting your great grand aunt.”
“But my great grand aunt is dead!”
“Exactly.”

Luka from Lithuania draws on ceramic items like plates, cups and saucers. I love her black and white pieces the best – somehow they all pop out better against the white background. And no, you can’t eat on them, although you can stare at them as much as you want!
