Help for Haiti

The logo was designed by Khristian A. Howell, a surface designer and photographer

I’m sure by now you’ve heard about the horrific earthquake that hit Haiti leaving behind a devastating trail of disaster and casualties. Fellow blogger Jen of Indiefixx is holding a silent auction in an effort to raise funds for Red Cross International Response Fund. The Red Cross has been helping those in need since 1881 and they have already pledged an initial 1 million towards Haiti Relief, let’s help them give more.

See how you be part of the movement over at Indiefixx.

+ Claudia Pearson is also donating 25% from the sale of her Valentine prints to Yele Haiti.

If you’re a shop owner or an artist doing a charity drive for Haiti as well, leave a comment so that the community knows about it!

Jenny Mendes’ ceramic sculptures are characters unto themselves – one look at them and you can almost picture them talking and coming to life (like on the telly!) She’s a full time artist based in Ohio, and she offers giclee prints for sale in her Etsy shop that are prints of her original terra sigillata painting on a clay tile. She’ll return in February with more ceramic works, so until then you can see a collection of her wall birds here.

{Thanks Yael!}
