Project: Presenting

For our new project, we’re casting an open call to artists (illustrators, artists, crafters, and designers, we’re looking at you!) we’d like to see your promo materials.

Namecards, postcards, posters, badges, mini-zines/books, stickers, button badges, you name it — if the reason it exists is to spread your name and/or to make your customers/clients happy, we’d like to see it!

Project Presenting will be an ongoing one throughout the year, and we’ll pick out some of the finest out there to be featured in a series of zines.

To enter, we’ll need you to send us a small snail mail packet containing 5 sets of your promo materials! Email Amy at amy@pikaland.com for the address to send in your promos!

Yehrin Tong

Yehrin Tong specializes in creating mind-boggling, illusory and intricate patterns that just beckons for you to unravel them. Looking at them could be hypnotic as well — I could stare at her patterns for hours on end (but I won’t of course — I might go into some sort of trance if I did!)

Carolin Loebbert

I just saw that Carolin Lobbert has done a print with The Working Proof and I think it’s pretty swell. Carolin was born in 1981 and graduated from the University of Applied Sciences (Department Design). She’s currently based in Hamburg, Germany.

What I like about her work is how she infuses nature into her subjects – bold, colorful and sometimes bizarre, each one reflects a keen eye for detail. Though her design elements also border on being folklorish, the overall effect has a contemporary vibe that shines through, especially when it’s done for an editorial spread.
