She also has a wicked sense of humor that shines through her work – she writes and doodles stories that are mostly based on animals (because they are a convenient vehicle to explore and reveal the world of human psychology and behavior, she says.)

Doodling and making verbal and written observations is the way that I create humor for myself and the people I like. The act of observational humor-driven drawing and writing has become one of the primary ways in which I understand the world. It also enables me to pass that knowledge and understanding on to other people who may not have the time or eyes and brain to do so on their own.
