Elizabeth Graeber

Elizabeth Graeber is a freelance artist who is organizing Sketchcrawl DC (previously ) and of course I couldn’t resist sneaking in a post just about her work!

Wonderfully playful and witty, Elizabeth’s illustrations are right up my alley. Like a child, she has a bold touch when it comes to making her mark on paper. Her work will certainly make you want to just draw, draw, draw for the heck of it, so forget about coloring in the lines and making sure those edges line up — just have fun!

Grab an original from her Etsy shop and take a look at her many sketchbooks!

The Gulf Restoration Fundraiser

My in-laws are in town this week, so the past few days were packed with running errands and dashing about. So you’ll have to forgive me for not doing my regular book review today! But I do have something that I’d like you to check out: the lovely Meighan of My Love for You has organized a Gulf Restoration fundraiser where 87 artists has donated works for sale. One hundred percent of the sale of the items in the shop will go to the Gulf Restoration Network’s cause of clearing the Gulf’s current oily mess.

As the shop will only be up till 12pm PST, 5th July, there’s only a few remaining items left in there! To make your life easier, I’ve made a short list of my favorites that still remain:

Justin Durand

Heartworks by Justin Durand

Lisa Romero

What, Oil, Where? by Lisa Romero

Casey Jex Smith

Worm Death by Casey Jex Smith

Esther Pearl Watson

Unlovable print by Esther Pearl Watson

Annie Koelle

The Three Moths by Annie Koelle

Have a great 4th of July weekend and I’ll see you all next week!
