ryan miranda

I dunno what it is but I am loving portraits lately! I especially love these ones by Ryan Miranda, a part time student and freelance graphic designer and illustrator from the U.S. From the color palettes to the angle, these portraits are IN YOUR FACE (literally)!

It got me thinking about how much we take our faces for granted. How would you feel if there was only one image of you in existence and it was a portrait created by someone else?

Flossy-p: Mural in the making

Stop motion mural painting from flossy-p on Vimeo.

What a wonderful peek into Flossy-p’s making of a mural! This stop-motion video was a labor of love (much like the painting that she did) – Flossy set up a tripod, and took photo’s with her stills camera, once every 5 minutes. She then at the end glued them altogether into one single movie. It’s for a new European style artisan bakery in her town called k pane.

Read more about her brief for the project, and how she incorporated local elements and her translation of the concept onto a mural over at her blog.
