Face it, it’s too late to put together good gifts for everyone. Not because of time, but because of the sheer amount of wonderful work floating about that leaves your brain bursting at the seams of what to get for the people in your life. So Doodlers Anonymous’ first colouring book ought to do the trick — there’s 29 different artists’ works for you to colour in. Pop in a box of crayon and you get instant fun!

Also, I question the part about giving gifts EXACTLY on Christmas Day. I mean, it’s to be expected that you’d hand someone a gift on the day itself. Want to be different? Send someone a stocking full of gifts AFTER the big day and see the look on their faces. Or better yet, send presents just for fun — it can be Christmas all year round!

  1. My family has referred to the several weeks on each side of a birthday as “the Birthday Zone” for years. I made it up originally to cover for the fact that I, not you, Amy, am the biggest procrastinator in the world (I’m still working on Christmas cards for 1996), using the excuse that our family is far-flung and sometimes shipping can be unreliable… unfortunately, they ARE my family so I think they saw right through it! Nevertheless, the whole zone thing caught on, and even expanded to, oh, I dunno… several months on each side of a birthday… The Christmas Zone runs roughly from Thanksgiving (because face it – who is ever, really, early? lol) to April… maybe May. July? How about August? lol

As a proclaimed procrastinator and coming from a family of procrastinators, we don’t get stressed out if we stretch out birthdays, Christmas, etc. for a bit.
I think it’s kind of nice to receive something days or even weeks after the initial event.
I just hope everyone I send late stuff to feels the same way. LOL
