Erin Jang: wedding invites

My obsession with illustrated wedding invites continues!

When I saw Erin Jang’s wedding invites made for Joo and Jacob I couldn’t help but smile. I loved everything: the colour scheme, the quirky handwritten type and how refreshingly simple yet attractive it was.

Of course you knew I wouldn’t stop when I featured the works of Anna Bond here and here before, so don’t count on me stopping anytime soon. I’m on the hunt for good illustrated wedding invites, and I would love to know if you made any (or if you know anyone who does!)

The Discontented Bear

Loving the visuals for The Discontented Bear; a book that’s about a bear who decides to be a bird. Yes, that’s no typo there. The bear decides to be a bird, he’s not wishing to be one!

Drawn by Stephen Daoud who is an Illustrator living in Bristol, the prints for the visuals are available at his Etsy shop. I love the repetition of strokes and the attention to detail, and of course, the fascinating storyline.

Definatalie!

If at all possible, I’d like to digress back to being a teenager for one night. I’d have a sleepover party. We’d give each other makeovers. There would be a movie marathon of vintage Johnny Depp and Leonardo DiCaprio. Hyped up on lust, we’d prank call all of the boys in our lives. As we sit in a circle, eating saturated fat and raising our glycemic indexes, I’d be doodling in Frankie Magazine, daydreaming about what I will become in the future. Definatalie!

THANK GOODNESS Natalie Perkins is keeping my memories alive through her lovely magazine doodles!
