Amy is a former architecture + design magazine editor who always thought her hands were a little out of control. So she remedied it by dabbling in illustration; participating in Illustration Friday, hanging out with her Gocco machine and started Pikaland in February 2008. Drawing has since taken a back seat to managing projects and blogging, and now instead of hanging out with the gocco printer, she mingles with peeps all over the world who shares the same love for illustration and art as she does!

Have you seen the wonderful project started by Sean and Anna of Sub-Studio called Follow the Leader?

From the website:

Follow The Leader is a small project that we dreamt up recently that focuses on three things we like: friends, illustration, and collaborating with friends. If you are interested in collaborating with us, please download your favorite drawing (hi-res pdfs – can be opened in Illustrator or Photoshop, or printed out and drawn on by hand) and complete the drawing, however you are inspired to do so. There’s only one rule: The location and size of our initial seed drawing should remain the same.

This one here, titled “I like motorbikes and carousel horses.” is done by the fabulous Rebecca Murphy.

I bet these guys would protect my laptop (and gear) with their life. Perhaps not the bug-eyed beaver, but the other sure looks like it could. RAWR.

The goonie-goo-goo laptop set by Brokesy is fabulous! There’s more in their shop, but I wish that there were more fun stuff like these around for a nerd like me.
