I have a book by Maira Kalman that I love to read during short breaks (some of you may remember me talking about it). It’s called The Principles of Uncertainty and I enjoy it immensely. I laugh, I think and I ponder a lot about the messages and the sights she documented in a year of her life. I love the hardcover, and I love how she strings sentences together and weaves them in with her paintings.
I usually hound the N.Y. Times website to see if she has put up anything new, and lucky me — I found the latest of her drawings + writings, this time about her love of Abe Lincoln. It’s a great way to start the week, and I hope you’ll enjoy it as much as I did.
