*How about a brief introduction? *
\nApple Cart is a little zine about art and hobbies, and the work of friends and creatives from all over. It was made by two sisters and a friend who like working with print and paper.<\/p>\n

How did you get involved with zine making?<\/strong>
\nIt was a spur of the moment type thing, a \u201chey, we love zines and being creative, wouldn\u2019t it be fun…\u201d As a result we were pretty disorganised and slow about the whole process, but still managed to have plenty of fun!<\/p>\n

Tell us what\u2019s your goal when it comes to zine making?<\/strong>
\nOur number one goal was to have the opportunity to do something creative and have a fun project to work on together. The other part of it was that by compiling a collection of work from a bunch of our creative friends, we gave them an opportunity to showcase their work a bit.<\/p>\n

Any favorite artists that inspired you to make your zine?<\/strong>
\nWe were quite inspired by a zine by Anney B. It\u2019s called Cornycopia, and it\u2019s printed on a risograph. It pretty much was the inspiration behind us buying a risograph printer ourselves. Anney has a blog: http:\/\/anneyb.blogspot.com\/<\/p>\n

What\u2019s the one tip you\u2019d like to share with people who are interested in making their own zines?<\/strong>
\nUmm, don\u2019t get into it when you are poor and have too many wild enthusiastic ideas that you can\u2019t back up with cash! The whole thing took us 6 months just to save up for printing and paper and all of that. Then again, don\u2019t let anything stop you, because it\u2019s totally fun and not having enough money forces you to be resourceful. We loved working around all the financial problems, it gave the whole process an extra DIY<\/span> feel.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"\n
