{"id":1221,"date":"2010-04-21T11:03:36","date_gmt":"2010-04-21T11:03:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hip97.com\/wp\/?p=1221"},"modified":"2012-10-31T23:35:24","modified_gmt":"2012-10-31T15:35:24","slug":"pikapackage-project-2010","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pikaland.com\/staging\/2010\/04\/21\/pikapackage-project-2010\/","title":{"rendered":"PikaPackage Project 2010"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/pikaland.com\/staging\/galleria\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.pikaland.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/2344.jpg\" class=\"image\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ve just launched the <a href=\"http:\/\/pikaland.ning.com\">community site for Pikaland peeps<\/a> last week, and now on to our second big announcement \u2013 the launch of the <a href=\"http:\/\/pikaland.com\/staging\/galleria\">PikaPackage Project for 2010<\/a>! <\/p>\n<p>The impetus for this came two years ago, when I realized that the creative community needed to get their work &#8220;out there&#8221;, and I took the idea literally and ran with it. The project is a specially curated, themed and community-driven swap and marketing tool for illustrators and artists. Everyone has fun, and get lovely art in return.<\/p>\n<p>Two days ago, a special invite was sent to artists on the Pikaland mailing list (you can <a href=\"http:\/\/pikaland.com\/staging\/subscribe\">join in too<\/a>), and now the roster of artists for the first round is almost full.<\/p>\n<p>Since I took some time off from the <a href=\"http:\/\/pikaland.com\/staging\/pikapackage\">PikaPackage project<\/a> last year, I had some time to think about how to make it better, and I&#8217;m pleased to say that the time off is worth it. The project is back and off to a wonderful start.
