To compensate, I&#8217;d like to propose that you have a look through <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/wardomatic\/\">Ward Jenkins&#8217; fabulous Flickr stream<\/a> and get a feel of some <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/wardomatic\/sets\/72157622927189171\/\">vintage Christmas illustrations<\/a> &#8212; the theme that I wanted to go for if I wasn&#8217;t the biggest procrastinator on earth. Oh well, there&#8217;s always another year no?<\/p>\n<p>2009 was a busy year here at Pikaland &#8212; so I&#8217;m going to do a short recap of what I&#8217;m thankful for in 2009:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"caps\">YOUR<\/span> support for cheering Pikaland on &#8212; we&#8217;re going to be 2 years old in February!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>The launch of the <a href=\"http:\/\/pikaland.com\/staging\/goodtoknow\">Good To Know zine<\/a> that brought illustrators, artists and designers together to discuss creativity, life and business (or the lack therof, haha!)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>I started accepting <a href=\"http:\/\/pikaland.com\/staging\/advertise\">advertising on Pikaland<\/a>, and many of you sponsored that loaf of bread I put on the table, and I thank you tremendously.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>I put the <a href=\"http:\/\/pikaland.com\/staging\/pikapackage\">PikaPackage Project<\/a> on hiatus, but you&#8217;ll be happy to know that it will be up and running again early next year with <span class=\"caps\">NEW<\/span> projects in tow.
