"Pikabooks

Usually, my Friday is spent consolidating my work week and preparing for my weekend (which usually entails watching a few TV shows like Fringe and South Park in the evening to get into the mood). However, this Friday is a little different — it’s Black Friday and of course, that means that a little shopping is in order, especially since Christmas is near!

And since I can’t resist a good sale, I’m pleased to announce that zine lovers will also be happy to know that I’m returning the favor by offering a Black Friday sale over on Pikabooks!

This week and just in time for Christmas, we’ve launched 3 new zines:

"Good

Good to Know #9: Are there rituals or routines that help you get into work mode? What keeps you motivated? The Good to Know Project is full of advice + inspiration from artists/illustrators/designers on creativity, business and life. This issue has 15 artists who shares about their routines and rituals to getting things done!

"nathalie

Untitled by Nathalie Chikhi (featured previously)

This zine documents some of Nathalie Chikhi’s pictures taken across USA since 2005, and includes her collage series. She juxtaposes daily pictures that are instantly recognizable against her collages, which features radical architectural shapes.

"Weng

All you’ve gotta do is… by Weng Pixin (featured previously)

This inspirational comic from Weng Pixin (also known as Xin) of Doinky Doodles was written in one night! It reads like a personal diary and transports readers into Xin’s mind, flitting in between coherence and hypothesis before coming to an uplifting conclusion.

——————-

With each purchase of limited edition zine, USD$2.00 will be donated to First Book, a charity that provides new books to children in need. One zine = one book for a child!

As for the Black Friday sale, you can get a 10% discount if you add in the coupon code BLACKBLACK during checkout over at the shop. Hurry, the sale ends on Sunday</del> Tuesday (through Cyber Monday!) 🙂
