The Good to Know Project

The Good to Know Project is full of advice + inspiration from artists/illustrators/designers on creativity, business and life. Every month, we ask one question and forward it to friends of Pikaland, who in turn will share their thoughts on a particular subject. Past questions include:

  1. What is your biggest stumbling blocks to creativity (or expressing yourself artistically) and what works for you in overcoming these setbacks?
  2. When does one know that a personal style has developed? Is it important to know what exactly that style is?
  3. How do you manage your time? What’s your secret to tackling the mountain of work that never seems to end?

To purchase a copy of the zine or to participate in future issues, please head to our Good to Know page.

The PikaPackage Project

A PikaPackage is a monthly promo and marketing tool for illustrators and artists. This package will launch with a free giveaway, and the rest will be sold to adoring fans and readers. (The proceeds from the sale of PikaPackages will help fund the PikaPackage Project.)

A PikaPackage will hold selected items from the participants (with a minimum amount spread all around) + a specially produced zine by Pikaland!

Pikaland celebrates illustrators and artists who are selling their wares and brings them to the masses. And since we’ve narrowed down the audience to those who love illustrations + art, you’ve got a receptive crowd right here!

We’re since taking a brief hiatus, but we will be launching back in September 2009. You can still get a PikaPackage of your own by strolling into our SHOP!

  1. To register your interest in becoming a participant for future rounds, head here to sign up for our mailing list (just check the box that says “special mailings: news of upcoming Pikaland projects. I am an artist/illustrator/designer!”)
