The Go Travel! PikaPackage giveaway!

For this August, I thought that it would be fitting to have a package that is dedicated to traveling. Summertime has always been about going to different places to discover something new, and this year it’s been a little quieter than usual on the internet because of it.

Once the vacation is over (or for those who are stuck at home like me,) I think it would be fantastic to be able to collect a package that can remind you about how fantastic it is to go see the world — and this is the premise of the Go Travel! PikaPackage. I hope that this would also inspire you to go out and explore – no matter the season!

For this theme we have curated a total of 14 illustrators who submitted their work in the form of prints, zines, notebooks, stickers, buttons and paper toys (more would have participated, if it weren’t for the traveling season — a catch-22 indeed!):

1. Annie Galvin of 3 Fish Studios
2. Aileen Holmes
3. Alison Tang of Little Clouds
4. Angela Keoghan
5. Chum Mcleod
6. Donna McKenzie of Corella Design
7. Émilie Boudet
8. Emma Cowley
9. Gaia Cornwall
10. Ilaria Benedetti
11. Kitty Kilian
12. Laura Tarrish
13. Rachael Smith of Penelope and Pip
14. Suzanne L. Vinson

Best of all, you can read all about our participants in this little nifty Go Travel! PikaPackage zine – there’s a short little Q+A in there with each artist and you may just find a new favorite to love!

  3. Great work PikaPeeps!

So much wonderful stuff…from those I already knew I loved (Ilaria Benedetti, Chum Mcleod, Emilie Boudet, Littlelclouds) but I was happy to make some new discoveries following those links too…especially Suzanne L. Vinson’s stunning linoprints!

  4. Rachael’s images (@ Penelope and Pip) speak to my soul; I have fallen in love over and over and over again …………….

  5. This was really difficult just so you know! It’s hard to favorite a single artist when all the styles are different but oh so good! If I were to ultimately choose, I it’d be Donna McKenzie. For what reason? Well first off I love ink work and patterns. It’s an extra bonus she’s throwing in cute animals and owls wearing glasses! It’s the kinda art I love framing in my room~

  6. They are all amazing artists, and I had a hard time choosing! Nevertheless, my favorite is Chum Mcleod. His geometric and whimsical illustrations really captured my heart.

  7. I WOULD LOVE LOVE LOVE to win this AMAZING package…with SO many talents all in one bundle.
FABULOUS…I just have to have a word with the Random Org angel now and see if they’ll listen 🙂

  8. I really loved
The characters of LITTLECLOUDS colour zine
It made me shake, and weez, and scream!
But all the things in LITTLE CLOUD
were wicked cool and super- bad!

  9. Wonderful giveaway! My favorite is Donna McKenzie of Corella Design. I love her bears and other animals and her graphic stryle.

  10. Omaigawd, I love the go travel pikapackage! <3 <3 <3 My favourite would be Emilie Boudet!! She is very inspiring, and her India travel book is the best! I wish i would be able to make a travel book like her one day. 🙂

  11. great project but not so great having to choose a fav. I love the 3 fishes’ logo and artist combo style and Angela Keoghan’s work is really amazing. I want to know some of the animals in Donna McKenzie’s works and I want to buy a Kitty Killian ‘sibling rivalry’ print. But I must choose Chum McLeod as my favorite. Her rich colors and light and dark subject balance intrigue me.

  12. I have to say I love this theme and wish all the packages had a theme! That would be cool!

I can’t say that I have a favorite; it would be like choosing a favorite child!

  13. Enter me please (:
I love Donna McKenzie’s works! I must say I’m a sucker for animals, but her drawings are so finely done

  14. ♥ Gaia Cornwall – her lovely blend of whimsical, child-like illustration, with digitally enhanced colour… really gorgeous works! x

  15. I absolutely love all the little fabric treats from “littleclouds” – the shop offers so many wonderful ways to get a dash of color and whimsy into your everyday life!

  16. I love how Gaia Cornwall draw children! when I first saw her art works, I suddenly fell in love with them! Her style is very distinctive and her works never failed to remind me of my childhood! KEep it Up Gaia

  17. Great giveaway! I looove Aileen Holmes’ work. It’s so beautiful. I love everything, from the colours she uses to her handwriting. She has such a variety of work to look at. I could spend all day looking at her stuff. So amazing.

  18. Chum McLeod – I’m quite charmed with the illustrations and also with the narratives on the line drawings.
Also 3 Fish Studios because I’m enamored with printing making and I love theirs!

  19. I love Rachael Smith of Penelope & Pip! The cool color palette is gorgeous and the asymmetrical shapes are just lovely. Everything is adorable : D!

  20. The Go Travel package is so fantabulous. It is like watching Discovery channel and saying ‘hey, I want to go to this place..and this place..and this place’. All the artists have such different and unique approaches, that choosing one is a tad bit difficult. But, just like each place has something different, something unique and something magical to offer… the works of each of these artists speaks in the same way.

I really love Rachael Smith’s work because its dreamy, whimsical… and the skies she paints are so beautiful…one could just lie down on a grassy patch and stare at them all day long.

  21. Ugh, tough question! Would have to say that my favorite illustrations are the ones done by Emilie Boudet! I love how she has been able to infuse so much charm and character in illustrations so simple. So pretty!

  22. ilaria benedetti is my favourite artists cause I think what she created is so original and I love the watercolors she uses! Another great Pikaland idea, seems like there are an infinite amount of great ideas in your head Amy 🙂

  23. I love Angela Keoghan from The Picture garden. Her works are funny and light and bring good mood.:-) Love the way of her illustrations.

  24. its too hard to pick. but for the sake of this giveaway, I’ll pick Rachael Smith of Penelope and Pip whose work tickled my fancy this morning 🙂
    Thanks for the chance!
